These are the terms a hire is made on. They summarise the rental agreement you sign at handover, which is the binding document; where the two differ, the signed agreement governs.
Who may drive. The minimum age is 23. We accept a driving licence issued in any country, valid and in date. Anyone who will drive the car must be named on the agreement before they do — an unnamed driver is not covered, and that is the one rule on this page with no flexibility in it.
Deposit. No deposit is taken. Not cash, no card hold, no promissory note (سند أمانة) — nothing is held against the car and nothing is asked of you at handover beyond the licence and the signature. You pay the hire, and that is the whole of what you pay.
Fuel. Full to full. The car goes out with a full tank and should come back with one. If it does not, we refill it and charge what it cost.
Mileage. 200 km a day is included. Beyond that, $0.10 per kilometre, read off the odometer at return.
Delivery and collection. Delivery is free anywhere in Damascus and at Damascus International Airport; $40 to Homs and Hama, $50 to Latakia and Tartus, $55 to Aleppo and Aleppo airport. The fee is on your quote before you pay. A car may be left in a different city from the one it was collected in, by arrangement made when you book rather than on the day.
Cancellation. Free. A booking may be cancelled at no charge before the pick-up time.
Late return. Tell us. Extending a hire while you still have the car is a phone call; settling it afterwards is an argument. Two hours past the return time are allowed without charge; beyond that a further day is charged.
Damage, theft and breakdown. Report anything to us immediately on +963980436125, and report an accident or theft to the police as well — an insurance claim without a police report generally cannot be made. Do not agree a settlement with another driver on our behalf.
Insurance. Cover is arranged per hire and the terms that apply to yours are confirmed on the rental agreement you sign at handover. What is not covered. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving by anyone not named on the agreement, use outside Syria, use on unmade roads or off-road, carrying passengers or goods for hire, and any deliberate damage. In those cases the customer is liable for the full cost.
Traffic fines. Fines incurred during your hire are yours, including ones that reach us after the car is returned.
Governing law and disputes. This agreement is governed by the law of the Syrian Arab Republic, and any dispute arising from it is heard by the competent courts of Damascus.
